New Patients at Graceland Chiropractic
Choosing a chiropractor can feel like a big decision, especially if you’ve never been to one before–or if you had a bad experience somewhere else. At Graceland Chiropractic, we work to make that first step as straightforward and low-stress as possible.
Your First Two Visits
Most new patients complete two visits before starting regular care. Here’s what happens:
Visit One (about 1 hour):
You’ll sit down with one of our doctors to talk about your health history, your current complaints, the reason for your visit, your health goals, and if you’re a good candidate for chiropractic care. Then we’ll do a thorough exam and take digital X-rays if needed. These images help us see alignment, joint health, and whether there’s anything we need to address that isn’t obvious from the outside.
Most patients receive their first adjustment during this visit.
ONLINE FORMS
Visit Two (about 30 minutes):
This is your report of findings. We’ll review your X-rays, explain what we found, go over our recommendations, and walk you through your insurance benefits and costs. You’ll know exactly what you’re getting into before you commit to anything.
Patients typically receive their second chiropractic adjustment during this visit. After that, regular visits usually take 10-20 minutes, though it depends on what we’re doing. If you’re just coming in for a quick adjustment, you could be in and out in five minutes.

What to Bring
- Photo ID
- Insurance cards (if applicable)
- Any imaging you already have (X-rays, MRIs, etc.)–we can compare them to current films
- Completed paperwork (you can download forms ahead of time or arrive 15 minutes early to fill them out here)
We have separate intake packets for regular patients, personal injury cases, and workers’ compensation cases. If you’re not sure which one applies to you, just call and ask.
Insurance and Payment Options
We accept most major insurance plans, including but limited to:
- Aetna
- Blue Cross Blue Shield
- UnitedHealthcare
- Medical Mutual
- Medicare and Medicaid
- CareSource
- Molina
- VA cases
We also accept HSA and FSA accounts. If you’re paying out of pocket or have a high deductible, we’ll work with you to find a plan that fits your budget. Our front desk will verify your benefits before your first visit so you know what you’re responsible for.
We’re happy to handle auto accident (personal injury) and workers’ compensation cases–and we’re experienced at navigating the paperwork and coordination with other providers.
Frequently Asked Questions
We’ll give you a realistic timeline based on what we see, and we’ll adjust the plan as you improve. Our goal is to get you feeling better, teach you how to maintain it, and not keep you coming in forever.
